The Railway Street Farmers Market is opening on the greens next to our community garden in Moss Vale on Thursday 28th January.
It will be a weekly grower’s market strictly for produce and value-added products grown in the shire and will comprise of stalls manned by local commercial growers as well as some backyard producers.
It will run between 3pm and 6pm to allow locals to shop during the week and at this stage has at least three local commercial growers, a sourdough bread and snacks stall, two backyard grower stalls selling jams and chutneys and locally raised seedlings of food crops and plants, a smoked trout stall, locally grown garlic, local olives and a coffee van selling free trade coffee and snacks made with local produce.
The market will be different to all other markets in the shire – a truly local farmer’s market!
I recommend you come down on Thursday 28th from 3pm and check it out. It can only get bigger!!
